Mackinaw Trail Winery – Founded in 2004, Mackinaw Trail Winery is the North Star of the Michigan wine industry. Operated by the Stabile family, they’ve won over 500 medals & 6 Best of Class awards. They are known for their exceptional red and white wines and fruit wines. Stop by the tasting room at their state-of-the-art winery on 30 acres of beautiful rolling hills nestled between Petoskey and Walloon Lake. You can sample their wines as well as craft beer from their microbrewery. The bistro also offers small plates and appetizers. 

Resort Pike Cidery and Winery – If you’re looking for something a little different, stop by Resort Pike Cidery and Winery to sample their sparkling wines and cider. Owner Dustin Stabile strives to create the perfect balance between carbonation, sugar, and acidity with his wines and ciders. Resort Pike Cider and Winery aims to produce the best quality sparkling wines and ciders possible. Using locally sourced fruit ensures only the freshest, highest quality goes into their products. You’ll also enjoy the charming atmosphere of their tasting room inside a carefully restored antique barn. Their winery is just south of Petoskey on 40 idyllic country acres.

Walloon Lake Winery – This winery is on a third-generation local farm just a mile from beautiful Walloon Lake. The Dennis family produces wines from cold-hardy grapes cultivated for the unique Northern Michigan climate. With an eye to the future of the farm and the next generation, they focus on sustainability in their approach to farming. Their wine-tasting room is in a gorgeous stacked cordwood building they built themselves with wood harvested from their property. Enjoy a wine tasting or wine by the pour, along with local cheeses and salsas.

Rudbeckia Winery – The tasting room staff at Rudbeckia Winery are certified wine educators with over 25 years of experience and knowledge. When you sample their wine, beer, and spirits, you’ll have a good time and learn about what you are tasting and how it is made. Produced in limited quantities, artisanal wines allow them to create a unique experience for the taster with each varietal. Their 190-acre vineyard has incredible views of Lake Michigan and Walloon Lake. You are invited to walk through their vineyard, play a game of Bocce on their regulation court, or enjoy a game of corn hole.

Petoskey Wine Tasting Boyne Valley Vineyard

Boyne Valley Vineyards – Nature lovers will enjoy a trip to Boyne Valley Vineyards. They have a small boutique tasting room surrounded by a 113-acre-nature preserve. Roll-up doors allow them to open the tasting room and let the outside in. They also believe that wine should be enjoyed in the community. They encourage you to bring friends and family along to their vineyard. Well-behaved dogs are even welcome! On weekends, enjoy wine, snacks in the fresh air, sunshine, and live music.

Petoskey Farms Vineyard and Winery – Petoskey Farms’ wines and hard ciders are made with locally grown grapes and fruit, and hand-crafted onsite. A 60-foot-long patio invites you to relax and sample wines while taking in the scenic views of the rolling hills, pasture, and vineyard on their 22-acre farm. You can also enjoy a wood-fired pizza. In the winter, head inside their cozy indoor tasting room. They are just three miles from shopping and dining in downtown Petoskey’s popular Gaslight District. 

Maple Moon Sugarbush and Winery – If you are looking for something you won’t find anywhere else, Maple Moon Sugarbush and Winery should be on your itinerary. They’re America’s first and only maple winery. They make their wine from maple syrup derived from sap, tapped from their own Northern Michigan sugarbush. Their eleven wines vary from dry to sweet with complex yet smooth flavors. They also offer Maple Ginger Hard Cider and Maple Bourbon Hard Cider. In their store, you’ll also find maple syrup, honey, jam, salsa, and sauces. Stop by their tasting room to sample their one-of-a-kind offerings.
